Plastic is so crucial - in health care, education, and tech for example - so we still need to make things with it. How can we do so with fewer fossil fuels? Covestro is making a new kind of recycled plastic with cooking oils and fats, and it has endless applications.

Orange peel is a common waste product in the global food industry. Designer Alkesh Palmer has made a lampshade made of sewn-together pieces of orange peel. Sweet!

How do you take your coffee?

Blast Studio is dedicated to circularity. They recycle coffee cups to make a strong wood-like material that can be cut, drilled, sanded and varnished. It's already being used to make wall panelling, lampshades and furniture. Love that.
