It's Mental Health Awareness week soon (11th-17th May) and we're reminded how good it is, for all kinds of reasons, to go outside and get your hands dirty.

Pruning, digging, fixing things in your garden or on your balcony or windowsill. That's all part of it, isn't it? Plus, get the kids involved. Start 'em young, we say.

We've got some fab FixIts garden hacks for you to try. Are you a dibber, spoon, or fork kind of person? You choose. They're all fantastic fun to make and easy to use.

The little dibber

It’s fun to swizzle some FixIts into these dibbers and get the kids involved in planting seeds. The dibber helps give you a bit of depth in the soil before plopping the seed in.

It's a scoop!

Create your own mini-trowel for you or the littluns to use. These little scoops are perfect for getting just the right amount of soil over the seeds. (And they’re easy to make!)

Fun with forks

Once the seed has been dibbered and spooned, it’s important to loosen and turn the soil to aerate it and help it absorb water better.

Summer's winding down, which means it's time to get the garden and shed stuff back in order.

This week's trick: turn a FixIts stick into a sturdy door hook. It's a genuinely simple storage fix that looks great too with all our different colours. We came up with it during a recent clean up, when we needed hooks *immediately!*

All you need is a pack of FixIts, a hairdryer and some bits of wood. Watch how it's done below, you'll be hooked in no time!

Don't bin it, fix it. And have some fun too.

FixIts is perfect for keeping the fun going - whether that's patching up a toy truck, or shaping a new bail for the cricket set. Quick, easy, and satisfying. Now that's fun!

Hanging plants are beautiful. Hanging plants going rogue and taking over the living room? Less so.

These little plant pin hooks are incredibly easy to make with FixIts - and they'll bring some much-needed order to even the most unruly trailing stems. Plus, they won’t mark the wall unlike sticky pads or nails.
